Edmund Gordon’s The Invention of Angela Carter: A Biography is now available, published by Chatto & Windus. This is the first authorised, and indeed the first, biography of Angela Carter to appear. The book traces Carter’s life and works, drawing on a number of previously unavailable materials such as journals and letter, and features many wonderful photographs of Carter, her family, and her numerous friends.
