The British Library’s event, ‘Angela Carter: A Celebration’, takes place next week, on Thursday 24th November at 19:00. Celebrating Carter’s life and work, Edmund Gordon, author of the first biography of the writer, is in conversation with “Lisa Appignanesi, Susannah Clapp and Pauline Melville, all friends of Carter, about how his impressions of her shifted as the book progressed.”
