The Angela Carter Bookclub is taking a break for the summer and will relaunch in the autumn, beginning on Saturday the 7th October. The bookclub is also expanding its remit to include texts by authors that Carter loved, such as Charles Perrault’s fairy tales or Leonora Carrington’s fiction, as well as books by contemporary writers that draw on Carter’s own oeuvre and legacy, such as Ali Smith or Helen Oyeyemi. As I am currently in the process of updating the reading list, please feel free to make suggestions in the comments below or on Facebook or Twitter.
