The first Angela Carter Society Newsletter is now available. The last year has been an exciting and packed year for fans of Carter’s work, from academic conferences to new radio productions of Carter’s works, and who can forget Emma Rice’s all-singing, all-dancing and exuberantly joyful adaption of Wise Children at the end of 2018. The Angela Carter Society Newsletter offers news and reviews items covering all the major Carter-related events of last year, contains information about the first Angela Carter Society conference (which will take place in 2020), and much, much more!
This newsletter is available exclusively to members of the society and is one of several benefits that members receive by joining. If you would like to join the society, please head over to the official Angela Carter Society website and click on the “Membership” tab, or simply click here. We would greatly appreciate your support in helping the society to grow and develop!
The Angela Carter Society was founded and is run by Dr Caleb Sivyer (UWE, Bristol), Dr Charlotte Crofts (UWE, Bristol), and Professor Marie Mulvey-Roberts (UWE, Bristol). The society was set up to celebrate and promote the study and appreciation of the life and work of Angela Carter.
