Due to the global pandemic currently gripping the world, the Angela Carter Society has extended its deadline for its annual essay competition until 1 September 2020. As part of its mission to “to celebrate and promote the study and appreciation of the life and work of Angela Carter”, the Angela Carter Society holds an annual competition in order to “celebrate the best scholarly work being undertaken in the field”. The competition is open to early career researchers, postgraduates, and established academics, and there are two prizes: one for the best journal article or book chapter, and a second for the best postgraduate essay.
